An ongoing list of books for preschoolers
Green Eggs and Ham by Dr. Seuss- A really fun book with some absolutely WILD illustrations!
If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff- This book is silly and iconic… and it’s part of a whole series!
Fox in Socks by Dr. Seuss- It’s long and hard to read, but oh, so fun!
Froggy Learns to Swim by Jonathan London- The whole series is great (my second favorite is Froggy Bakes a Cake), but this one includes the phrase “Bubble bubble, toot toot, chicken airplane soldier!”
Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? by Dr. Seuss- Basically, if “What Does a Fox Say” were a children’s book!
Curious George by H. A. Ray- This book (and the rest of the series) is absolutely ICONIC!
Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons by James Dean and Eric Litwin- A really fun and rhythmic book to read!
The following books are ones my parents read to me as a kid that I still love to this day:
Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin
The Seals on the Bus by Lenny Hort
The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear by Don and Audrey Wood
Bear Snores On by Karma Wilson and Jane Chapman
Hey, Little Ant! by Phillip and Hannah Hoose
