Behind the Bulletin: The Why

I have always been an avid reader. As a kid, I would come home with as many books from the library as I could, but then I would have to wait several days for my parents to check all the ones I hadn't read before. It frustrated me to no end, and I made sure they knew it. My mom started suggesting that I review books online to help other parents, and that idea became The Bookmark Bulletin more than ten years later.

My goal is to provide parents with reviews highlighting content, themes, and tropes, so they can decide if a book is appropriate for their child without reading the whole book, and to provide adult readers with lists of content warnings that are as comprehensive as possible.
